Common questions
How long is the free trial?
Seven days, and it is the complete application — every display style, every screen, no watermark and no limits. No card is required to start it — download the app and the trial begins the first time you open it. When the seven days are up, Quietlight asks for a license before starting a new show.
What does a license cover?
One location, up to two machines at that location, with unlimited screens on each. It's a one-time purchase of $399 — perpetual, with nothing to renew. If you run more than one location, email us and we'll price the group together rather than location by location.
Can the license interrupt a display during a service?
No. This is built into the product deliberately: once a show is playing, nothing stops it. Licensing can only ever gate starting a new show, never a running one. An expired trial in the middle of a visitation does not put a message on the wall.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only briefly, to activate the license. After that Quietlight runs offline indefinitely. A machine in a chapel with no network is a perfectly normal way to use it.
Where do the photos go?
Nowhere. Photos are read from the folder you point at and stay on that machine. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any cloud service, there is no account, and there is no sync.
What happens if the machine crashes or loses power?
Quietlight is built to come back from it. On relaunch it recovers the show that was running and resumes rather than starting from a blank window — which matters when the machine is behind a panel in a room full of people.
What is the free player, exactly?
A separate, cut-down player that runs a prepared show straight from a USB stick. No installer, no admin rights, no license and no restrictions — it contains no licensing code at all. It's what you hand to a family so they can take the display home, or copy onto a machine you don't control. More about the free player.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — within 30 days of purchase, no conditions attached. Email webinquiry@iadev.net with your license key and we'll process it.
What does it run on?
Windows 10 or 11. It drives whatever screens the machine has connected — two monitors or a wall of them — and doesn't need dedicated signage hardware. Download it here.
Can I move my license to a different machine?
Yes. If you replace a machine, email us and we'll free up the activation so you can use it on the new one.
