Terms of Sale & License
Last updated: August 21, 2026
These terms are between you and Interapp Development, Inc. ("LymeStack", "we"), 5616 Belle Aire Rd, East New Market, MD 21631, USA, the provider of Quietlight.
Availability
Quietlight is offered for sale in the United States only. Our checkout presents the United States as the sole billing country, and the software is intended for use under United States law. By purchasing, you confirm that you are buying as a customer located in the United States. We may cancel and refund any order placed from outside the United States.
The product
Quietlight is a Windows application that plays unattended photo and video displays across the screens connected to a machine. It has two parts: the licensed application, which builds and runs shows, and the free portable player, which plays a prepared show and requires no license.
Purchases and billing
Orders are processed by Paddle.com, acting as merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, payment, applicable sales tax, and order receipts, under Paddle's buyer terms.
A Quietlight license is a one-time purchase — not a subscription. Nothing renews and no further charges occur.
License grant
- A license covers one physical location (for example, one funeral home, venue, or building) and permits activation on up to two computers at that location, with unlimited screens on each. Operating more than one location requires a license for each, or a group arrangement — contact us.
- The license is perpetual: it covers the version you purchased and the updates we make available for it, and it does not expire.
- You may not resell, sublicense, or distribute the licensed application or your license key.
- Except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law, you may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, or attempt to derive its source code or defeat its license enforcement.
- You can move your license to a replacement machine: deactivate the old one, or if it has died, contact support and we will reset the activation.
The free portable player
The portable player is free of charge and contains no licensing code. You may copy it and hand it on, as is, together with a prepared show — that is what it is for. You may not sell it, modify it, or misrepresent its origin.
Trial
The licensed application includes a 7-day free trial with full functionality, starting the first time the app runs on a machine. When the trial ends, the app requires a license before starting a new show. A show that is already playing is never interrupted — by the trial ending, or by anything else in the licensing system.
Refunds
Every purchase carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, measured from the date of purchase, no conditions attached. Email webinquiry@iadev.net with your license key and we will process it. A refund revokes the associated license. Full details are in the refund policy.
Termination
This license terminates automatically if you breach its terms — in particular the restrictions above. On termination your license is revoked and the application returns to its unlicensed state. Using the free portable player is unaffected. These terms' warranty, liability, and acceptable-use provisions survive termination.
Updates and support
Updates are delivered through the application's built-in update check and this website. Updates we make available for Quietlight are included with your license at no extra charge. We intend to keep improving Quietlight, but a license purchase entitles you to the software as delivered plus the updates we make available for it — it is not a promise of specific future features. Support is provided by email at webinquiry@iadev.net.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for the content you display and for having the rights and any consents needed to show it — photographs and videos entrusted to you by families included. Don't use the software to display content that infringes others' rights or violates applicable law.
Disclaimer of warranties
Quietlight is built to run unattended, but no software is immune to failure. It is not intended for use where an error, interruption, or delay in what it displays could lead to death, personal injury, or severe physical, financial, or environmental damage — it is a photo display, not an emergency-information or life-safety system.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the software is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind. LymeStack disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement of third-party rights. LymeStack does not warrant that the software will meet your requirements, that its operation will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will LymeStack be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages whatsoever, including but not limited to damages for lost profits, loss of goodwill, corruption or loss of data, business interruption, or any other commercial damages or losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the software, however caused and regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise), even if LymeStack has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will LymeStack's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the software or these terms exceed the greater of the amount you actually paid for your license or twenty U.S. dollars ($20.00). The foregoing limitations apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any non-waivable rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Maryland have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. This license is not governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the application of which is expressly excluded. Nothing in this clause removes any mandatory rights or protections you have under the consumer-protection law of your state of residence.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be noted on this page. Questions: webinquiry@iadev.net.
